The Blood Red Moon Sees Us

We are under the light of a full moon - and not just any moon, but one that hums with blood, memory, and fire.

September’s full moon rises in the watery realm of Pisces, but there’s something deeper moving beneath it. A red-threaded tide that speaks of endings, washings, and the unseen. Some call these kinds of moons “Blood Moons,” and whether or not the sky shows her crimson veil these next few days, the energy is unmistakable.
The old ways rise in us. The bindings loosen. The veils burn.
This poem Blood Red Moon taken from the Voice of the Dragon poetry collection arrived many years back through me in one such moment, and yet just as cycles return upon the Great Spiral it continues to speak to me, to the cycles that rise within, to the heat beneath our surface, and to what it means to return… to ourselves. Sending you all Full Moon Blessings here from the Temple Room as we begin to dream a new dream.
Blood Red Moon
Blood Red Moon, sees me,
feels us, knows you.
Burning away the ignorant veils
that disguise our Being.
Clearing away the dirt and grime,
the unwashed ways, that no longer serve
their ancient purpose.
For these are new times
and with them, come new dreams,
new visions
and new ways
All that is not joined by Love
is undone
as the bindings of obligation
fall away
No longer, will the Will
of Man or Woman
dominate,
in the making of this new world
As cycles cross over, starting anew
a flexibility of spirit will be called forth
as all that does not bend
becomes broken,
as thermal fires
heat us to molten core
so we may shape ourselves
into something better,
something less arrogant
than the image of the An,
the gods of yester-year
Finally
we can Stand,
in our own divinity,
humbled two legged
who never should have tampered
with the gene pool
Remaining instead,
as the Yeti have,
the Ancient Ones,
those who Remember
Growing
like the Wild Ones,
those who have waited
for so long,
like us
to come Home
