The Body Calls Us Home
Make a decision to begin loving your body
fully, and without apology.
Make a decision to embrace
the many faces that you carry within.

Make a decision to bring all
of the lost and forgotten parts of you,
back into the faceted glimmering,
jewel that you are.

Begin to remember that your body is sacred.
Begin to remember that you are made
as a temple of clay from this earth,
held together with breath, and dust
from planets and stars.

Begin to remember
that the Earth also lives as some body,
and that as we are nourished by thee,
this life needs to be nourished by us all.

Do not forget that your body
holds a living library of story and song about you.
Read aloud and dance these histories,
so you might come to know your ancestors,
and your descendants.

Those living, waiting, and unborn,
who learn from your body how to live.
Gathering, watching, and seeing,
what their lives may one day become.

Most of all never forget,
that your body has never forgotten you,
but sleeps like a lover awaiting your return.
Wake up the body gently,
call the body beloved,
just as the body calls you home.

The Body Calls Us Home is a 28-day poetry-inspired workbook inviting women to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and rediscover calm.
Published through Temple Room Press, it weaves daily reflection prompts with gentle practices for sacred feminine embodiment and inner peace. Available from the link below.

Swan Song
excerpt from Swan Song - The Chronicles of Yopi
by Voice of the Dragon poetry - upcoming collection
From stars we came, luminous and bright
with shafts of green feathers, which broke open the Light
My sisters were many, though not as before
We had lost many to the battles and the Unending War
We took flight one day, paired and ready to leave
the races who we had loved, but who had deceived
Us and our children of giants and men
sold us a trade to a time seen as when
the lost legion lovers from the Dragon’s own eye
caused our home world to shatter and they poured
through our skies

excerpt from The Gathering - Vision Dreams of the Crow Mother by Voice of the Dragon poetry upcoming collection
…and when the time of the Gathering comes
you will know,
you will feel,
and you will go,
to the east, to the west,
to the north and to the south,
to kneel at the Gates
of the opened Mouth,
that opens up her Way
her World, her Earth,
as She swallows up the living
and offers up the births
